I realize more and more each day that what they say is true … as you get older time just zips by! I can’t believe this week marks our one year anniversary of launching PLANK. What an adventure it’s been! I spent some time this morning looking back over our posts from the past year, and boy did we cover a WIDE range of topics and ideas. I have to say, 12 videos, 29 recipes, 52 posts, 294 images and 746 comments later, I’m so proud of this site – proud of how it looks and how unique it is, and proud that I think we achieved what we set out to do, which was to have something each week that would inspire you. A huge thanks goes to Mandy for making me appear literate, for getting a post up every week and for her graphics (they have been so fun and creative).
Congratulations Mary Beth on your one year anniversary of the Plankblog. Hope there are many more to come.

Happy Anniversary Plank! Like others, this has become a weekly staple for me-the new Plank Blog. I often learn something new or have cause to reflect on something intrinsically I knew but often did not stop to think about. Plank has helped me refocus on what is important. Thankfully I have laughed and geeked out as well. A perfect allrounder. Thank you team Plank (Mary Beth and Mandy) for the hours of pleasure and education wrapped up in a weekly email.
I wish that I had found this when it first started, but I am determined to catch up! I have really enjoyed it so far. Your video’s are fun and calming to listen to, besides just entertaining and educational. Congratulations on this venture and thank you for being a part of my life, through “Days”, for such a long time. I’m sure most agree with me when I say, I feel like you could be one of my best friends!
I do have a question that may have been answered previously and I just missed it. How did you come up with the name “Plank” Blog?

Happy Birthday, Plank!
I really enjoy reading every week. I try to take something from each one and apply it. It’s kinda of silly the things that stick with me. Like washing my eggs pans in cold water, not wearing chipped nail polish and other little things. I especially enjoy the video blogs, especially after I found them on YouTube lol, ask Mandy I messaged her like it was the best thing ever! In all seriousness though, the biggest impact is I am now looking into CASA and being trained to do that. I never felt fostering was my calling but always felt a tug to do “something” and CASA was an option I never knew existed, so thank you for that!

What a great year! So diverse and interesting! Thanks for sharing your life and lives with all of us. Perhaps as a civilization, if we spent more time listening, were more open to others ideas, and simply showed respect for other humans, we would have a peaceful world.
