What is your kryptonite?

Ok, so I’m gonna be honest with you, here, you are good at everything.  That is to say that you make everything you go for look effortless or at least not that hard.  I know you work at it, and I know you give it everything you have as you’re doing it, and I know it’s not like you wave a wand, there’s serious effort there.  But when you share these things with us, it truly looks like you were born an expert.  Especially domesticity.  I use that word and being domestic in a good way.  I think it’s a very, very good thing to be.  And I do not feel like I do particularly well at it.  I can make a blanket, and I can plan a party, and I can do lots of stuff.  But I have things that just scare the hell out of me.  Cooking.  I try, I really do, and sometimes I do well. But the times I fail far outweigh the times I do well.  I can follow a recipe, but it usually does not turn out right.  Your veggie burgers you posted recently blew me away.  I look at all those ingredients and shake.  The furniture you’ve refinished, the pieces you bring into your home and know they’ll be beautiful and are.  Do you know how long it took us to choose window treatments?  16 years, and that’s cuz we had help, thank God.  But what I’m getting at is that you have said so often that you really enjoy pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone and making yourself not just do it but DO IT.  And do it well.  And succeed.  So my question is, what is your kryptonite?  What challenges you most and/or to the point that you haven’t brought yourself to going there yet — or at least not with the same success you’ve had in other uncomfortable zones?  I admire how much you push yourself, it inspires me.  As I sit here on the couch.  Hmm … I think I’m gonna get up off it now and DO SOMETHING.  Until then, what is your kryptonite?
