Where did the time go? Yesterday I was a young newlywed who barely knew how to make anything but quiche and had never changed a diaper in my life.  Fast forward, and in the blink of an eye, I’m a mother of three grown children! As they say, time flies when you’re having fun. And boy was it fun. Still is!

The “empty nest” was a pretty easy transition for my husband and me. We had always taken care to have date nights and get-aways for just the two of us when we could. Of course it helps that, so far, our children still live close and we can see them often. Today, they’re all grown and living on their own (or mostly on their own). And, while I do miss the days when they were small and I would hear that familiar “Mommy, kiss my boo-boo,” or “Mommy, watch this,” now I feel lucky everyday watching them become the amazing people I always hoped they’d be.
